Is it dal, daal or dahl?
I guess it doesn’t matter. Time to make daal for Kari’s Indian potluck.

Little known fact, Jen makes the best daal. Please send any left overs my way.
This daal was amazing. If there was a recipe, I’d recommend Jen share it with the world. I can attest, however, that while it was loosely based on a recipe, Jen’s daal relies as much on inspiration as any written directions. Delicious.
Mmmmmm, daal! I’m still trying to replicate our Chili Academy Thai curry, to no avail. I fear that the delicate balance of perfectly simmered herbs, spices, veg and coconut milk will forever elude my palate. I’m glad to hear that you’re a more inspired chef!
I have to admit the Daal was EXCELLENT - just the kick required.
But I must admit that the remnants of the Domaine Chamberton 2006 Pinot Gris, that Jen and Ash brought last night, are quick becoming my favorite left overs from the meal - thanks again Jen and Ash!
As I’m an expert in such matters (on the account that I hail from India, the land of daals), its daal
I think you should post the recipe on your site for all to enjoy!
