Kind of like champagne on the breath, our amazing weekend is fading into memory all too quickly. 

It made me think of this hazy polaroid from Jen Gotch’s site.

San Fransisco is a city I need to think about a little longer before I decide where it sits on my internal map. That said, I will have many, many pictures and finds to share with you soon.

I like taking pictures of shadows. Lately, as a result of this blog, I have been taking more pictures than usual. Turns out my photography style, if you could call it that, involves a lot of pictures that capture light, reflection of light or Ash’s profile (because I like to catch him off guard). I also tend not to be able to take just one picture of something. I have to keep trying to get it again and again. From this angle and that angle. For instance, this duck. Ash and Whiskey had to pace around on the boardwalk, waiting a loooong time, while I took multiple pictures of the Duck, trying to get all his duck-essence wrapped up into one perfect photo. Funny thing is, I don’t even like birds. But I do like taking pictures, so I’ll be posting more here.

I heard it’s going to be 21 degrees this weekend, and it made me feel like finding something sunny. But then I found this:

…and I liked it better.

I can’t read a word of this woman’s blog, but it’s a nice way to start a morning. Especially, a morning before the start of a weekend, when you can imagine having the kind of liberties of time that lend to snacks and pots of tea and admiring your collections, like dessert plates.

Or maybe, an impromptu vacation.

In this case, I think she was going to Budapestiä. I’ll assume this was her suitcase on the way back. I love the yellow velvet clutch and I might just look for one like it on ebay today.

Our weekend is set to include: a photography show on East Broadway, some time with family somewhere I LOVE but cannot say right now because it’s a surprise, an Indian potluck at Kari and Rob’s and most likely, an open house or two, because we’re just those kind of people.

A little bit crazy.
